Retain a lawyer who has experience with the federal system.

The federal criminal system is in many ways like the state system, but it has some very significant differences. One difference is that a Federal Prosecutor has significantly more time and resources to direct to any given prosecution than would a state prosecutor would have in a similar case. You need an attorney who knows the federal system.

Alan Futrell has handled Federal Criminal Defense Cases in both Texas and New Mexico and is on of San Antonio’s experienced federal criminal defense attorneys. Mr. Futrell is is admitted to practice in Federal Courts in the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, the Federal District of New Mexico, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. If you or a loved one is under Federal Investigation, subpoenaed to appear before a Federal Grand Jury, or have been charged with a Federal Crime, contact San Antonio defense attorney Alan Futrell at 210-444-0952.

San Antonio Criminal Appeals Lawyer

Criminal Appeals and Post Conviction Remedies in both State and Federal Courts

After a person has been convicted in State or Federal court, he or she has a constitutional right to appeal the lower court decision in a higher court. But the appeals process is much different than the initial trial process. If you or a loved one has been convicted in a Texas State Court or in Federal court, you need an experienced Criminal Appeals Lawyer. Not all criminal defense lawyers have the knowledge and experience necessary to handle a criminal appeal. San Antonio attorney Alan Futrell has handled criminal appeals cases for nearly two decades. He has the knowledge and ability to effectively draft an appropriate appeal in both the State and Federal System.

The appeals process has strict time limits for the filing of a notice of appeal, which is the beginning of the appeal process.
